- Possum Mural
- This is one of the most interesting murals in Harlan. It features the largest possum in Kentucky named Penelope grabbing some food. It is located next to the Anxious Hippy, and is a great spot for silly photos!
- Harlan Mural
- This is the most recently painted mural in Harlan, located on Second Street. It is a great place to take a photo to show everyone how proud you are to be from these beautiful mountains.
- Cumberland Rocking Chair
- This rocking chair is below one of the best places for breathtaking views: Kingdom Come State Park. Before you hit one of the vistas or overlooks, however, stand in the massive chair for some breathtaking photos.
- Martins Fork Lake
- This is one of the few man-made lakes in Harlan County, equipped with a beach for top-tier lake day photos! This is also one of the best spots to take beautiful sunset photos of the sun glistening off the lake.
- Dough Boy
- If you are looking for more of a historical landmark to take a photo with, drop by the Dough Boy in front of the courthouse. Not only is this a great place for a Harlan County photo, but you can also look for the time capsule and plan to visit again when it is opened.
- Harlan Heart
- If you are feeling full of love go take a photo with the Harlan County Heart at the pop up park. Although the park is still under construction, it is still absolutely adorable. It is perfect for the most lovely of photos.
- Log Rock
- If you are looking for a bit of adventure, head up to Kingdom Come State Park and see Log Rock. It is an amazing place to take a picture and show off your adventurous side whilst walking across.
- Bullock & Creech Lookouts
- At Kingdom Come State Park there are a plethora of beautiful lookouts to gaze upon. There, you can see the most beautiful sunsets and look out upon all of the amazing greenery and mountains in Harlan.
- Umbrella Alley
- Located across from a sports cafe, there is an alley tucked away with ever-changing umbrellas hanging that is perfect for a photo. Whether the umbrellas are pastel for spring or orange and yellow for fall,

- Between the log cabins, the water, and the greenery there is no better place to take pictures. This is a great spot for formal pictures, as well as casual ones if you just want a casual Instagram post it is perfect for that as well.
